Reuben Buff was born in West Hartlepool. He enlisted in the Durham Light Infantry on 11th August 1910.

 

He landed with the 2nd Battalion as part of the BEF on 8th September 1914. He survived the war and was discharged on 13th December 1919 due to sickness.
