Condition GVF and better
 
Shirley was a native of Derby, and fought in Italy in WW2. After discharge, he rejoined and saw service in Cyprus, near East and South Arabia. 
 
There is a H F Shirley who served with the Royal Fusiliers ( 14318981) in Italy during WW2 and was wounded in 1943. Possibly this is the recipient.
