Queen’s Sudan 1896-98, correctly engraved 3368 Pte H Mulligan 21/L CRS
Condition VF ( with contacting to obverse and reverse, with an edge bruise over unit)
Henry Mulligan was born in Newington, London, in 1870. He attested aged 21, given his occupation as a Labourer. He became a Private in the 21st Lancers.
As part of A Squadron, he took part in the famous charge at Omdurman. One of the troop commanders in A Squadron was Winston Churchill.
Mulligan went on to serve in the Boer War and is entitled to a no-bar Queens South Africa Medal. He is also entitled to a Khedive's Sudan with a Khartoum clasp.
Henry was discharged on the 9th November 1903.
