22nd Battalion – 'Died'
Frank Dyson was born in Meltham in West Yorkshire in 1896 the son of Tom and Dinah Dyson.
He 'Died' aged 22 on the 26th March 1918, the 6th day of the German Spring Offensive.
He is remembered on the Pozieres Memorial.
At the time of his death the family were living at:
Bank View,Blackmoorfoot,Linthwaite,Huddersfield
Tragically it seems that the family’s only other soon Hubert was killed less than a month later while serving with the Northumberland fusiliers.
