1914/15 Star and Victory medal to 1604 Gnr T.H. Gates RFA
Thomas Houghton Gates was born in 1875 the son of Levi and Eliza Gates, the family lived in Bunbury Cheshire. Gates attested in January 1915 in Liverpool.
He arrived in Franceon the 30.9.1915 and served a total of 337 days before he was Killed in Action on the 31st August 1916. He is buried in Flatiron Copse Cemetery, Mametz.
