Herbert S Wilmut was born in Bristol in 1891, the 1901 census shows that Herbert was an order clerk and living at 50 Richmond Road,Montpelier,Bristol.
Herbert was entitled to a pair first serving with the Worcestershire then later with the Royal Defence Corps, service number 78805.
It was while serving with the RDC that Herbert passed away on the 2nd of December 1918. He is buried in theBristol (Greenbank) Cemetery.
