William Brady enlisted on the 14th of July 1915 and was discharged on the 31st of March 1919 due to no longer being physically fit for service. He was also awarded a silver war badge.
Graham Stewart and John Sheen in their book “Tyneside Scottish” note that Brady was absent without leave on the 13th of September 1915.
