Arthur Percy Grist was born Torquay in 1880, at the time of the 1911 census he was working as a Riding & Job Master at Riding School, 1 Lisburn Square, Torquay. It was his own business that he ran with his brother.
I have found information on line that suggest Grist was a enlisted man before he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt ( LG 15th August 1917) however his medal index card does not support this, nor is there another MIC. Card states entitlement to a pair only.
