Memorial Plaque to 49389 Pte Arthur Rye Crane Manchester regiment.
Arthur Rye Crane was born in Blackpool in 1886, at the time of the 1911 census Arthur was living and working in Salford. His address was 61 Tatton Street Salford.
Arthur first served with the 3rd battalion of the Manchester regiment before being transferred to 736th Area Employment Coy. Labour Corps (service number 277024). Sadly Arthur ‘Died’ on the 13th of September 1917 and was laid to rest in the Longuenesse (St Omer) Souvenir Cemetery.
