John Hudson was a miner from Merrignton in Durham, at the time of the 1911 census he was working as a Coal Hewer and living in Ferryhill, Durham.
John served with the 6th battalion East Yorkshire Regiment, he was killed in action with them on the 22.8.1915 while in Gallipoli. He is remembered on the Helles Memorial.
