Joseph Wetheral Storey was from Crook in County Durham. He landed in France on the 19th of April 1915 and had a difficult war. He was gassed, suffered a gun shot wound to the knee. He was reported missing on the 26th March 1918; in fact he had been taken prisoner. He was repatriated in November 1918 and subsequently discharged.
