George Taylor was born in Bishop Auckland; he served in France from summer 1916 with the 1/7th Yorks and Lancs (6061) after being transferred from the DLI. He contracted Hepatitis and was sent home in late1916. George sadly passed away at home on the 2nd of January 1917 from his illness; he was laid to rest in Auckland New Churchyard in Durham.
Papers will be included with the medal.
