Arthur James Dangerfield was born in Bermondsey, London on the 6th November 1895. At the time of the 1911 census he was working as an assistant in a restaurant and living at 9 St Awdrys Road, Barking.
Arthur enlisted in the Somerset Light Infantry on the 19th of November 1914. He landed in France on the 8th of September 1915 and was discharged on the 29th of March 1919.
Arthur passed away in 1972 aged 76.
