Thomas Henry Green was born in Stockton on Tees in 1894. At the time of the 1911 census Green was working as a house painter and living at 7 Brougham Street, Stockton.
A member of the 1st/5th DLI Thomas landed in France on the 16th of April 1915, he was sadly killed in action 10 days later on the 26th of April 1915. He is remembered on the Menin Gate.
A picture supposedly of Thomas has been uploaded on Ancestry, however there is no way to prove it’s him. A copy will be included with the medal.
