Pair to 2318 Pte E Lister West Yorks Regt
A warehouseman from Wyke in Bradford. Ernest Lister attested on the 2nd of September 1914 serving with the 1/6th battalion. Lister landed in France on the 15th of April 1915 and was thus entitled to a trio. He suffered a gunshot wound to the right elbow on the 3rd of September 1916 and was subsequently invalided back to England. He spent 65 days in hospital due to his wound. He returned to front line service and was taken prisoner on the 27th of September 1918. He was repatriated on the 22nd of November 1918.
