George Forster was born in Fatfield in Durham in 1892. A carter by trade he attested in Sunderland on the 17th of May 1916 Entitled to a pair only, Forster arrived in France on the 27th of August 1916 and was posted to the 15th battalion, before being attached to the 9th battalion with who he was killed in action.
