Walter Henry Scott was born in Hackney, he enlisted in London. Scott landed in France on the 16^th of August 1914 and was entitled the 1914 star with clasp as confirmed on his medal index card. He was a member of the 2^nd Division Ammunition column RFA

Scott was sadly killed in action on the 1^st February 1917 and was laid to rest in Pozieres British Cemetery, Ovillers – La Boisselle. He was the husband of Edith Scott of 54 Black Boy lane Tottenham, London.
