George Simpson was entitled to a pair only, he was later transferred into the Labour Corps and then the Royal Fusiliers.
Simpson’s son George Alfred served in the RAFVR working as a fitter. He served from 26.11.1940 until 22.5.46. He spent the war in South Africa and as such is entitled to the War and Defence Medal. The WW2 medals are in the original packets and box. Which shows Simpson lived in Huddersfield. The group comes with George Alfred’s Air force service and release book.
