Memorial Plaque to 1791 L/Cpl Alfred Ernest Miller C Coy 7th Royal Muster Fusiliers / KIA Gallipoli buried in Azmak Cemetery

A native of Horsham, Sussex, Alfred lived and worked in Newbridge and enlisted in Merthyr, Glam.
A member of the 7th battalion the Royal Muster Fusiliers, he landed in Gallipoli on the 9th of July 1915. He was sadly killed a month to the day on the 9th of August 1915 and laid to rest in Azmak Cemetry, Sulva. Azmak being the cemetery in which 114 of the 5th Norfolk’s (Sandringham Company) are buried.
