Robert Henry Cranidge was born in Scunthorpe Lincolnshire. He lived in Crosby and enlisted in Scunthopre.
 
He served with the 6th battalion in Gallipoli 29th of September 1915 and was alter transferred to the 2nd battalion. He was sadly kilel din action on the 17th of April 1918 and laid to rest in Trefcon British Cemetrey, Caulaincourt.
