John Henry Hurell was a native of Hartlepool. He enlisted in the Royal Artillery (Territorials) in 1935 and continued serving until 1954 when he was discharged due to reaching the age limit.
He served during WW2 with the 8th Army in North Afric
The WW2 medals look to have been sent to him in the 1970’s. The 1939 to 45 Star has the late issue large ring. The other medals and 8th Army bar are original.
The Territorial Efficiency Medal is correctly named and isn’t a late issue. Suspender a little loose.
The group comes with an original dog tag.
