Arthur Thomas Lambert was born in Blackwell, Derbyshire in 1886. A coal miner ( Hewer) by trade, at the time of the 1911 census he was living at 6 Charlesworth Carr Vale New Bolsover Chesterfield.
He first served with the Northants landing in France 14th July 1915. H later transferred to the 225th Tunnelling Company of the Royal Engineers with service number 147816. Lambert sadly died of wounds 3rd July 1917. He was laid to rest in Brandhoek Military Cemetery.
