Memorial Plaque to 43459 Pte John Arthur Dodgson Northd Fus

John Arthur Dodgson was born in Gateshead. In civilian life he worked in the Grocery Business, at the time of the 1911 census he was living at 37 Margaret Road Whitley Bay.

A member of the Northumberland Fusiliers he served with the 22^nd battalion but wasn’t an original member. Transferred to the 8^th battalion, John was sadly killed in action 27^th September 1918. He is remembered on Vis En Artois Memorial
