George Mohun was born in 1878 in Durham. A miner by trade, at the time of the 1911 census he was living at 13 Chapel Passage Old Elvet Durham.

A member of 3rd Battalion Durham Light Infantry, Mohun landed in France on 15th December 1914. MIC and roll show entitlement to the trio.
