17801 Pte J Beevers York& Lancs

Joseph was born in West Melton, he enlisted in Mexborough.

A member of the 6th York and Lancaster Regiment, he landed in Egypt on 5th September 1915. He was sadly killed in action at Gallipoli 17th November 1915. He is buried in Hill 10 Cemetery.

Plaque is slightly polished.
