David Charles Gillies was born in Brompton Military Hospital, Kent in 1927. He served in the Royal Enginners during WW2 and the Cyprus Crisis.  

His father Thomas Stevenson Gillies was a career soldier who rose through the ranks to become a Captain. He is listed on CWGC as having died on 29th December 1946. 

David passed away in Hastings in 2012. A copy photograph of his wedding day is included.

This is the first time the group has been on the market.
