Pair to 1438St G Thomas DH RNR / South Shields

George Thomas was born in South Shields  on 24^th May 1887. A Deckhand by trade, he entered the RNR on 3^rd June 1915 as a Special Deckhand.

His papers have survived and will be included with the sale, but sadly a little bit difficult to read. Among others he seems to have served on ‘Wallington’ which I believe was a trawler. Discharged with a pension in 1919, his address was given as 50 South Eldon Street, South Shields.

Entitled to 1914/15 Star.
