The trio was initially in a contemporary frame along with the photograph. However, the frame was very severely damaged, and it couldn't be saved.

Patrick Murphy enlisted on 8th March 1908 joining the Royal Army Medical Corps, he survived the war and was discharged due to sickness on 15th August 1919. Murphy was awarded a Silver War Badge.
