Alan Edward Dukes commissioned Pilot Officer on probation 31st  October 1941 and then promoted to Flying Officer on 1st  January 1943.
 
On 30th October 1950 Dukes was commissioned as Flying Officer in RAFVR Training Branch. 
 
He subsequently served in the Cadets as flight Lieutenant.
Swing mounted as worn.
