Casualty victory Medal to 14343 Pte W Troke Devon Regt

William Troke was born in Burlescombe, Devon and lived and worked in Holcombe Regis, Devon.

 

A member of the 9th Bn Devon regiment, he was declared missing at the Battle of Arras on 2nd April 1917. An inquiry on 20th July 1917 found he has been killed in action on the date he went missing.

 

William is remembered on the Arras Memorial.
