Evelyn May Turner was born in 1896, the daughter of Arthur John and Elizabeth. At the time of the 1911 census, Evelyn was living with her parents at 123 Lisson Grove, Marylebone. She was aged 14 and her occupation was listed as a Dressmaker. 

 

Aged 22 she joined the VAD and served from 15.7.18 to 24.2.19  in 1st London General, Camberwell
