Alexander George Cheshire was born in 1895. He enlisted at Derby on 8th December 1914, giving his occupation as Chauffer. 
 
He saw service at Gallipoli with the 9th Bn, serving there from 29th August 1915 until 1st October 1915. After a period at home, he served in France from 23rd December 1915 until 4th March 1916. He was wounded and discharged due to his wounds in September 1917.
 
Alexander died in 1952.
