Harold Atkin was a native of Stockton on Tees. Born in 1895. At the time of the 1911 census he was living at 35 Edwards St Stockton On Tees and working as a Boiler maker.
A pre-war territorial with the Tyne Electrical Engineers. He worked for Ashmore Benson Pease & CO in Park field Stockton on Tees.
To France
He was promoted to Lance Corporal but then reverted to SPR due to inefficiency. Subsequently discharged due to not being a suitable solder and sent back to work with his pre-war company.
