Albert Morris Brazier was born in 1864 in Alveley, Bridgnorth. At the time of the 1881 census, Albert was living in Bestwood Park and was working as an 'Under Gardner'.
 
He attested, aged 20 on 19th February 1884 at Derby, he had previously served with the Derby Militia 4th Bn. Albert took part in the 1888 Sikkim Expedition with the 2nd Bn Derbyshire Regiment; he was promoted to Lance Corporal on 1st April 1889, Corporal 15th September 1890 and Lance Sergeant 7th January 1893.
 
He had served in India from 11th January 1886 until 24th March 1894. On 3rd July 1894, he was discharged as medically unfit due to TB of the lung. He passed away in the summer of 1895, aged 31.
