Henry Nice was born in County Cork in 1876. In civilian life he was a Post Office Clerk and Telegraphist.

He joined the Royal Engineers on the 30^th of November 1898. He saw active service in the Boer War and was awarded the Queens South Africa Medal and Kings South Africa Medal. He was transferred to the reserves on the 30^th November 1910. Recalled on the outbreak of WW1 and was in France in August 1914. He was discharged on the 3^rd of December 1915.

Henry passed away in 1933
